What Grow Zone Do You Live In?

Did you know that the best time to plant your Growums garden outside depends on where you live? Different parts of the country have different weather, temperatures, and growing seasons.

If you live in a cooler state, like Maine, Michigan, or Minnesota, you’ll usually need to wait until spring and after the last frost before moving your plants outdoors. Young plants can be damaged by freezing temperatures.

If you live in a warmer area, like Florida, southern California, or southern Texas, fall may actually be the best time to plant outdoors. Cooler fall temperatures can help plants grow better than the heat of summer.

Gardeners use something called a grow zone to help determine the best planting times in their area. Knowing your grow zone can help you decide when it’s safe for your garden to move outside.
