The Little Green Thumb Foundation (LGTF) helps schools receive sponsored access to hands-on gardening and agriculture-based learning programs designed to inspire students through planting, growing, and interactive exploration. Through classroom gardens, take-home garden kits, and engaging digital lessons, students experience STEM learning in a creative and memorable way while developing a deeper connection to the natural world.

Programs provided to schools are determined through sponsor support and LGTF funding availability. Sponsors may choose a specific school and program type to fund, while general donations (like through the website) are applied toward sponsoring classrooms in the LGTF Digital Garden Program.

No. Sponsored programs are provided to selected schools at no cost by sponsors, grants and donations.
Classrooms are selected based on funding availability, sponsor preferences, program fit, and application details.
Participation size may vary by classroom, but programs are generally designed for standard elementary classroom sizes.
Both programs require internet access and a device capable of viewing online videos and activities. Online use is occasional for the printed classroom program but ongoing for the digital program. While the digital program works best when students have access to tablets, Chromebooks, or computers, it can also be completed using a single teacher device.
Selected schools will be contacted as sponsorships and program openings become available.
Program type is determined by sponsor support and funding availability, and selected schools will be notified before program launch which program they’ll be receiving.
