The Little Green Thumb Foundation offers children and their families the magic of starting and nurturing edible gardens as a gateway to healthier eating habits and a deeper connection to the natural world. Through hands-on gardening experiences, we inspire curiosity about agriculture, forestry, ornamental nursery production, and related careers. Recognizing childhood obesity as a growing concern, we aim to empower children with practical skills and positive food choices while drawing them away from screens and social media to explore, learn, and thrive outdoors.

LGTF is seeking first-time grant funding to expand a proven, scalable classroom program that brings food literacy and hands-on garden education directly to students. Through engaging curriculum materials, garden kits, and interactive learning experiences, the program helps children better understand nutrition, healthy eating, and where food comes from.
Grant funding will allow LGTF to reach additional schools and underserved communities, equipping more classrooms with the tools and resources needed to create lasting educational impact. With an established foundation and growing demand, LGTF is positioned to expand its reach and cultivate healthier, more informed future generations.
Growums LLC provides all curriculum, garden kits, digital learning tools, and program execution. LGTF ensures the program fulfills its charitable and educational mission.
Each full curriculum kit includes gardens (six classroom gardens and one take-home garden per student), teacher-friendly, age-appropriate curriculum, student activities tied to science, nutrition, and wellness, optional family at-home engagement, and digital resources to reinforce learning.
